Milly Emery
Vocational Facilitator
With 11 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, I have worked extensively in community-based healthcare across both public and private settings. I’m passionate about taking a holistic approach and working alongside clients, their families and other providers to help create practical solutions that support everyday life.
I have experience and additional credentials in complex equipment, complex housing modifications, and seating, wheelchair and positioning Levels 1 & 2. I also have experience working in vocational rehabilitation, where I enjoy building relationships with both clients and employers and supporting them towards their individual goals.
From a young age, I knew I wanted a career where I could help others. Occupational therapy gives me the opportunity to use my knowledge and experience to support people through times of illness or injury, helping them work towards the things that are important to them.
I’m based in Raglan in the Waikato, where I’ve lived for almost 10 years, and have previously provided occupational therapy services throughout the Waikato and South Auckland regions.
Outside of work I enjoy keeping active with running, strength training and Pilates, and I’m also a big fan of saunas. At home, I love baking and am quite happy being a bit of a homebody.
I have a large blended family with six children at home, so I’ve had plenty of practice staying calm amongst the chaos!
If I could have any superpower: Teleportation. Being able to travel anywhere for free and with ease would be hard to beat.
