Due to limited capacity, we are currently not accepting new General Care patients (nail cutting, callus, corns, verrucae, ingrown toenails). What our podiatrists can help with

Our podiatrists have in-depth knowledge of the lower limb and work with people of all ages across a wide range of foot, ankle, and leg concerns – from sports injuries and overuse conditions through to arthritis and diabetic foot care. We understand that everyone’s needs and goals are different, and we tailor our approach accordingly.

Gait and Running Analysis

Using high-definition video on a 30-metre unobstructed runway, our team can analyse your walking or running technique to identify contributing factors to pain or reduced performance. From there, we’ll put a plan in place to address what we find – whether that’s footwear guidance, an exercise programme, orthotics, or a combination.

Orthotics Design and Shoe Referral

The right footwear can make a significant difference to foot and lower limb pain. Our podiatrists will assess your needs and advise on the best footwear options for your activity and condition. Where footwear alone isn’t enough, we design and fit custom orthotics tailored to you. ACC-subsidised orthotics may be available if your injury meets ACC criteria. For more information click here.

Plantar Fasciitis and Heel Pain

Pain along the base of your foot or into your heel can be a sign of plantar fasciitis – one of the most common foot conditions we see. Our podiatry team can assess your symptoms and work with you on an appropriate treatment plan.. For more information on this condition click here

General Nail and Foot Care

Our podiatrists provide general foot care including nail care, corns, calluses, and verrucae treatment. We also support people managing diabetic foot health. Where needed, we are qualified to carry out nail surgery. Please note: new general care patients are not currently being accepted – see the notice above for details on how to rebook if you’ve been seen by us before. Call us at 03 363 6290 to book.

No Referral Needed

Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist?

No – you can book directly with our podiatry team without a GP referral. We can also generate ACC claims where applicable, and ACC-subsidised orthotics may be available depending on your injury.

Our podiatrists work closely with the wider Active Health multidisciplinary team, which means if your condition requires input from another clinician, we can arrange back-to-back or joint consultations – making things simpler and more convenient for you.

Why Choose Us?

Our approach to podiatry

  • Treatment plans are personalised to your needs, goals, and lifestyle
  • Gait analysis uses high-definition video on a proper 30-metre runway – not a treadmill or an improvised setup
  • We work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, so you get a wider perspective on your care when you need it
