I have extensive experience in performance nutrition working with both elite and recreational athletes and currently provide nutrition services to the Gallagher Chiefs. I have worked with numerous teams and athletes including the BNZ Crusaders, Canterbury rugby, semi-pro triathletes, boxers and nationally representative school sports teams. From school groups to Super rugby I believe in empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills to make the best choices for them, their wellbeing and their performance. I extend this philosophy to my clinical practice where I have experience working with weight loss and type II diabetes management, healthy weight gain and general health concerns. Everyone is different, which is why I believe to succeed we must take an individualised approach to nutrition. Nutrition encompasses so much more than simply what we eat, food in our society has social, financial and emotional influences. This is why cookie-cutter diet plans and blanket advice simply don’t work.
